On Saturday March 7, 2020, Firsat Sofi, the governor of Erbil announced launching a broad campaign to sanitize the markets and public places that witness a dense population presence, as part of preventive measures to prevent the outbreak of Corona virus, while stressing the need for the population to adhere to the health instructions issued, disclose the results of laboratory tests conducted for the family of the infected woman with Corona.
Sofi said in a joint press conference held with the President of the Provincial Council ,Ali Rashid today in coordination with the concerned departments, a broad campaign was launched today to sanitize the markets and public places to preserve the safety of citizens.
Regarding the woman who was confirmed to have Corona, he said that the woman is pregnant and her health condition is stable, pointing out that the affected family is subjected to laboratory tests and fortunately it was revealed that they do not carry the virus.
