Bafel Jalal Talabani meets Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Sudani in Baghdad

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) met in Baghdad with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Sudani.

The meeting discussed the latest political changes and economic, social and security issues and emphasized support for the government's efforts to implement its agenda within the framework of adherence to the constitution.

In the meeting, President Bafel Jalal Talabani emphasized on implementing the national and constitutional points that have been established in the new government's program and asked the prime minister to send the region's finances and explained that the national agreement of the political parties on the administration taking the state was an important step towards passing the unwanted political situation in Iraq, but more importantly, it is the commitment and implementation of the points of the agreement, which is a factor in the success of the political and governing process in the country.

The President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan reiterated the Kurdistan Region's demand for a radical solution to the problems between the two sides and called for more effective negotiation on the will of the people and their demands.

In return, the Prime Minister assured President Bafel that the region's financial rights would be protected and that the 400 billion dinars would be sent to the region as soon as possible. "Although the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan has been a major partner in forming the government, it is one of the main and important participants of the government, and with the support of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, we will serve all of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region," he said.
