Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in Dabashan, welcomed a delegation from the Political Bureau of the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party in Syria.

In a meeting, discussions were held on the Kurdish issue in western Kurdistan and Syria. The long-standing relationship built by President Mam Jalal and Hamid Darwesh has been emphasized in a way that further serves the national rights of the Kurdish people.

President Bafel Jalal Talabani spoke with appreciation about the historical role and struggle of the Kurdish Progressive Party in Syria, which was founded by Hamid Darwesh and dozens of other leaders and fighters, and is still continuing their political and civil struggle to establish and achieve the rights of the Kurdish people in western Kurdistan.

Regarding the Kurdish issue and the unity between the parties, President Bafel said, "unity between the political parties guarantee the protection of the rights of the Kurdish people. We urge everyone to put aside conflicts and cooperate in order to overcome the obstacles, as resolving the Kurdish issue in the West and Syria can be achieved through negotiations."
