The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) have signed the agenda of the State Administration Coalition on the issue of forming the Iraqi government. In this regard, Dr. Soran Jamal Tahir, a spokesman of the PUK, reveals that they are participating in a coalition in which alongside the Kurdistan Democratic Party, the Coordination Framework, the alliance of sovereignty, Al-Azm alliance, and the Babylon movement are present.
"The PUK is ready for a new phase of negotiations and solutions to Iraq's problems, and we have signed with the PDK on the agenda of the state-run coalition, which includes a number of points and requests from Shia, Sunni and Kurdish parties," he said.
In a statement to pukmedia, the PUK spokesman noted that the situation in Iraq has been chaotic and instabe in the past and has affected the course and mechanism of the government's formation discussions. That is why the PUK and PDK believe that the meetings of the Iraqi House of Representatives should resume, especially when the election of the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, and the question of forming the government cabinet will be through parliament.
