Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in Dabashan, welcomed Jennine Plasschaert, the UN Secretary-General's special envoy to Iraq.

In a meeting, political developments, Iraq's political deadlock and the unification of efforts for national dialogue were discussed.

President Bafel Jalal Talabani stressed on constitutional and political solutions to the problems and said that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan ( PUK) supports the success of constructive national dialogue with the participation of all political parties that will lead to the country's liberation from the unwanted situation.

Regarding the situation in the region, the election issue and the possibilities, Bafel Jalal Talabani, expressed the stance of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan pointing out that the PUK had no way of postponing the election, but we want to have a modern law that suits the situation of the region and has national consensus on it because such an important and fateful issue requires compromise and agreement between all parties.
