Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) met in Baghdad with Dr. Adil Abdul-Mahdi, former Iraqi politician and prime minister.

In a meeting, the latest political change and today's situation in Iraq were discussed and the cooperation and language of discussion and understanding were emphasized in order to overcome the obstacles and solve the problems.

President Bafel Jalal Talabani reiterated his support for any step aimed at reaching agreement and compromise to overcome this unwanted situation, saying "the country needs to deepen the spirit of national reconciliation in order to achieve high goals. It is our duty to work for a peaceful and stable future and to serve our citizens more."

In return, Dr. Adil Abdul-Mahdi praised the efforts of the PUK President and the right policy of the Patriotic Union, saying that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan will continue the wise policy of President Mam Jalal, which is the right policy that the country needs and will have a happy result.
