Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, welcomed Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, in Baghdad.

At the meeting, the political situation in Iraq and the region, the completion of legal and constitutional procedures for forming a new government and the issue of the election of the President of the Republic were discussed.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on unifying efforts, understanding and compromise on the basis of real partnership to create a national service government that would bring stability and prosperity to the people.

Another topic of the meeting was to protect the national and constitutional rights of the Kurds in Iraq and both sides agreed on one speech and one kurdish stance.
