President Bafel Jalal Talabani statement:

We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and martyrs of today's incident in Zakho and wish the injured a speedy recovery.

We condemn the violation of the borders of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, the repeated bombing and Turkish military attacks, and the targeting of civilians and innocent people. We call on the Iraqi Government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to confront these unwanted situations that threaten national security and stability of our people.

Confronting and preventing these attacks depends on the national position and unity of all parties and a national consensus must be formed against these occurrences.
