The Iraqi President Barham Salih extended his congratulations to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed following his election as President of the United Arab Emirates.

The Iraqi President said in a message, "In my name and on behalf of the Iraqi people, I extend my warmest congratulations and blessings to you on the occasion of your election as president of the United Arab Emirates.”

He added, "Calling on Al-Mighty God to direct your steps and guide you in leading the brotherly Emirati people towards More progress, prosperity."
