On Thursday, May 12, the KRG Minister of State for Negotiation Affairs with the Federal Government, Khalid Shwani, received Consul General to Kurdistan Region, David Hunt.

During the meeting, the latest developments in Iraq and obstacles in front of new Iraqi cabinet formation were talked over.

The two sides reiterated that the disputes shall be resolved via dialogue, peaceful negotiations and co-understanding among the political parties.

The steps of negotiations between the Kurdistan Region and Iraq were another part of the meeting, in which practising an appropriate mechanism within the framework of consitution was emphasized.
