On Monday, March 7, the Minister of the Kurdistan Region for Negotiation Affairs with the Federal Government, Khalid Shwani, met up with the British Consul General to Kurdistan Region, David Hunt.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the political process in Iraq and the disputes existing among the political parties in the formation of the new Iraqi cabinet. They reiterated the necessity of having coordination and cooperation between the different forces toward removal of the obstacles in front of the government formation.

The two sides stressed that the outstanding issues between the central and regional governments shall be resolved via the constitution.
