The Social Democratic Party of Germany wishes to cooperate with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

After the success of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SDP), a sister party of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in the Progressive Alliance and the Socialist International, in the elections of Germany, Dr. Soran Jamal Taher, PUK Politburo member and Head of Relations Bureau, sent them a congratulations letter on behalf of the PUK for their success and for selecting Olaf Scholz as their candidate for Chancellor of Germany, who had previously served as the Minister of Finance and Vice-Chancellor of Germany. 

In a response, Olaf Scholz and the Social Democratic Party of Germany thanked the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and Dr. Soran Jamal Taher for the congratulations letter. They wished for future cooperation between both parties and were glad that the people of Germany have voted for them based on the social democratic agenda and program.
