Saadi Ahmed Pire, spokesman of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), said in a statement that “We will observe the decision of American troop’s withdrawal from Syria in general and west of Kurdistan in particular with deep concern”
The statement goes to say “the withdrawal of the American troops will face the people of Rojava (western Kurdistan), their region and whole of Syrian people with a huge terror and regional threat.”
Moreover, Pire adds that it’s in favor of the international community to continue supporting Pesgmarga, Syrian Kurdish fighters and SDF.
On Wednesday, U.S President Donald Trump issued a unilateral decision to withdraw American troops from Syria, and the decision lead to anger and disappointments by the Kurdish people, France, Germany, many American authorities and congressmen, and its ally in the Middle East.
