Deputy Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region, Qubad Talabani, held a meeting with foreign ambassadors, and UNAMI representative in Iraq, Sunday, Aug 16.
"Today in a video conference with a number of foreign ambassadors, chargés d'affaires, and UNAMI representatives in Iraq, we discussed the current political, economic, and security issues in Iraq, including the recent KRG-Baghdad deal and the strategic dialogue between the United States and Iraq. I stressed that the KRG is ready to resolve all the outstanding issues between Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region with the aim of reaching a lasting and comprehensive deal under the framework of the Iraqi Constitution." Talabani wrote in his Facebook account.
He also asserted "The meeting, which was also attended by the head of Kurdistan Region's Department of Foreign Relations (DFR) and relevant KRG representatives abroad, is part of the KRG’s ongoing efforts to strengthen relations with foreign diplomatic missions in Iraq and around the world."
