On Thursday, PUK politburo issued a statement on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, congratulating the people of Kurdistan and all muslims around the world.

"We extend our warmest congratulations and blessings to our people in Kurdistan, Iraq and all Muslims in the world. We wish this holiday will be a factor of tolerance and a motivation to deepen harmony and social peace between all groups and sects." the statement said.

It also added, "Alas, we salute Eid Al-Adha this year, and citizens suffer from deteriorating living conditions due to the postponement in the payment of salaries and health outcomes of the spread of coronavirus, and this matter requires a joint and important measure from all political forces, and in this regard the PUK will continue as a party responsible for its efforts with other parties.
