French Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves , praised the role of the Kurdistan Region in supporting the displaced, stressing that his country provides medical assistance to the region.

This came during a joint press conference on Friday held by the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, and French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, in which they reviewed what happened between them in a meeting in Erbil.

"Laudrian's visit is important, and France has always supported the constitutional rights of the region, and we will never forget French support." Barzani said during the press conference.

For his part, Le Drian praised KRG's role in assisting the displaced and refugees, noting that his country has submitted projects for the displaced in the region, and will provide other projects, noting that Paris will provide medical assistance to the region in the coming days, including aid to Halabja Hospital.
